The Saskatoon Accelerators came out flying, and then came to a grinding halt.

Saskatoon played an outstanding first half against the Edmonton Drillers only to see the Drillers dig in and mount a second half comeback en route to an 11-6 win at Credit Union Centre on Sunday afternoon.

The Accelerators finished their inaugural season in the Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League at 4-6 and miss the playoffs.

The Drillers improved to 8-2 and take on the Calgary United FC in the league championship on Mar. 14.

Tight race to the championship! best of luck to the boys on Sunday against Calgary. Accelerators all the way!

EDMONTON - Three power-play goals in the first quarter powered the Edmonton Drillers to a comfortable 4-0 lead and allowed the Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League team to get past their own letdowns and cruise to a 10-5 victory over the Saskatoon Accelerators Friday.

A "brutal tackle" 16 seconds into the game sent Edmonton's offensive leader, Nikola Vignjevic, to the dressing room with an ankle injury that could have devastated the Drillers.

Carlos Bravo didn't know Thursday his Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League team, the Saskatoon Accelerators, had just picked up a new player.

But it didn't come as a surprise for the Accelerator general manager, because the early days of getting established in the Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League requires last-minute decisions.

in a few days the Saskatoon Accelerators will be in Calgary for 3 games in the tournament. Lets hear some predictions!

Game 1 Accelerators will dump the united 7-5
Game 2 Accelerators 5 - Alliance 3
Game 3 Accelerators will take it easy in a 4 - 1 win.

what a surprise! I have acclerators sweeping the tourny :)
